Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde

I think the story so far is good, but what caught me off gaurd was when they was at the house with the door and why they called it a black mail house, i still dont seem to get it. It says that it was the place with the door,in consequence. but why was it a place in consequence, maybe we can try to go over it more in class.
